Special Note: The Federal Government has established an $8,000 federal tax credit for first-time home buyers that DOES NOT HAVE TO BE REPAID! Anyone who has not owned a home for the last 3 years is eligible. The new EXTENDED tax credit has also been expanded to allow up to $6,500 for new home buyers who have owned an existing home for the past 5 years!

Special Note: The Federal Government has also established a 30% tax credit for the installation of geo-thermal systems for heating & cooling! Design Homes now offers the ClimateMaster Geo-thermal system for $7,400 (plus the outside excavation and hookups)
If you add up the cost of the ClimateMaster system ($6,900) and the outside work by the "looper" (approx. $4,000) you have a total cost of around $11,000 for a complete system that will heat your home without fossil fuels, cool it efficiently, and also partially heat your water. The 30% tax credit makes the system cost around $7,500! This is only a little more than the typical forced air furnace system with central air.
